Synopsis

The 904: Shadow on the Sunshine State is a one-hour documentary film of the real-life story of Jacksonville's epidemic tide of gun violence- and search for solutions. The 2011 Suncoast Emmy winning film, shot in HD, tells the stories of several different individuals impacted by violent crime. Stories like Richard Collier's; the Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle whose career was cut short after being shot fourteen times during a night on the town.

This timely film was the winner of "Best Audience Film" at the International Black Film Festival of Nashville, and the 2010 recipient of the prestigious Don Davis Film Finishing Fund Award via Film Florida. The 904: Shadow on the Sunshine State uses the enormous narrative and emotional power of film to raise awareness and spark solutions to a problem plaguing America.
